Ghana Infrastructure Plan 2018-2047

This plan was prepared by the National Development Planning Commission. The extensive, wide-ranging document seeks to provide the country with reliable and robust national energy infrastructure stimulating economic growth, poverty alleviation and general wellbeing, as per the objectives set out in the Long-term National Development Plan (LTNDP). The plan notably aims to develop the production and use of energy from renewable and nuclear sources. It also aims to accommodate the use of electric vehicles and rail.

The document further contains non-mitigation measures, including on housing, food security and disaster risk management. it charges the government to improve drainage, and reduce the risks of flooding and coastal erosion on people, the economy, environment and society.
