Has references to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.Law 19924/2020 amended the legislation assigning to the Uruguayan Trust for Energy Savings and Efficiency (FUDAEE) specific responsibilities, including administering Energy Efficiency Certificates, financing energy efficiency projects, research, and development, as well as promoting renewable energy. FUDAEE also funds energy diagnostics, cultural campaigns, regulatory activities, and laboratory upgrades for energy efficiency. Additionally, FUDAEE manages donations, covers operational costs, and maintains a contingency fund to address energy supply crises and ensure continuous energy supply.
