Summary

This law organises the regulation of the electricity sector and the creation of the national electricity regulatory authority. Specifically, it sets out the missions of the national transmission grid operator and the electricity distribution system operators; the resources of the National Transmission System Operator and Transmission System Operators; access to electricity networks; the settlement of disputes and tariffs. It also regulates the National Electricity Regulatory Authority establishing it mission and functions. The law notably seeks to boost the implementation of renewable energy capacity, and to facilitate its participation to the grid beyond intermittency.
