The purpose of this law is to address serious and urgent issues concerning the protection of both the natural and urban environments, as well as to tackle the energy crisis.
The subject addressed by the law includes:
a) Simplifying environmental licensing and controls;
b) Rationalising permitted land uses;
c) Regulating the organisation and management of resources within the Natural Environment and Climate Change Organisation and the Green Fund;
d) Addressing issues related to the protection of forests;
e) Updating aspects of urban planning legislation;
f) Establishing overall regulations for the development of offshore wind farms; and
g) Managing issues associated with the energy crisis and promoting a circular economy.
