Law No.08/L-072 on Agriculture and Rural Development

This law regulates the drafting and implementation of national policies for agriculture and rural development. It seeks to create a competitive agricultural and agri-food sector that contributes to food security and to establish a sustainable food supply. It aims to address climate challenges by protecting natural and environmental resources against negative effects of agricultural production, as well as to ensure improved quality of life and increased employment opportunities in the sector.
