Tunisia's National Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy and Action Plan to 2030 aims to strengthen disaster preparation and response in the long term. It acknowledges climate change as a major threat, and elevates climate adaptation as a key instrument for disaster risk reduction. The action plan contains provisions to: enhance funding and capacity to meteorological monitoring infrastructure and early-warning systems; mainstream climate adaptation in education at all levels; enact governance reforms to improve inter-sectoral co-ordination.
