Botswana’s National Energy Policy (NEP) guides the management and development of Botswana’s energy sector, in particular new and renewable energy sources. It envisions an energy system that ensures secure and reliable supply of modern energy services for all sectors and to significantly reduce energy-related emissions by 2040. It lays out 20 policy statements to achieve these goals that each have implementation strategies.
