National environmental education policy of Guatemala (government agreement 189-2017)

This document sets the government's environmental education policy, notably building on the education law from 2010. It notably seeks to develop socio-environmental responsibility in the conservation, care and improvement of the environment, to face the challenges of climate change and contribute to a better quality of life Its 8th principle calls for the respect for cultural heritage and biological diversity Recognition, appreciation and respect for the cultural, linguistic, geographical, climate, biological and natural resources that Guatemala possesses.
