National Group for accelerated development of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency

In 2007 a National Group aimed at supporting and promoting the accelerated development and penetration of renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency was created. The 14 commissions of this group, covering all types of renewable sources of energy and efficiency, are co-ordinated by the government and have mandate to research and propose ways of further developing Cuba's renewable energy potential.
