Summary

This Strategy is developed in accordance with Section 65 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, which stipulates that the State should develop a national strategy in accordance with the principle of goood governance. The National Strategy is (2018-2037) is the country’s first national long-term strategy to ensure that the country achieves its vision of becoming “a developed country with security, prosperity and sustainability in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” with the ultimate goal being all Thai people’s happiness and well-being. The Strategy considers Thailand's national development in the light of unpredictable and abrupt impacts of climate change. It includes solutions such as smart farming; increasing value of a maritime bioeconomy; and promoting climate-friendly growth and infrastructure development.
