The implementation of the governmental forest policy is supported by this Strategy, in line with the emergency program of the 2045 Strategic Development Plan for the Forest, Wildlife and Water Resources sectors. The main thrusts of this Strategy aim to:
1/ Improve forest governance;
2/ Strengthen the protection of residual forests, extend them and manage them sustainably in classified forests;
3/ Restore degraded forest areas in rural areas and build resilience to the effects of climate change.
Finally, this document:
defines the main strategic axes, the actions and activities to be carried out for the preservation and rehabilitation of forests in the protected domain and the classified domain of the State;
specifies the methods for implementing the Strategy and identifies the sources of financing to be mobilised.
