The National Waste Management Plan 2028 (Krajowy Plan Gospodarki Odpadami 2028) was adopted by the Resolution 96/2023 of the Council of Ministers.
It sets Poland’s strategic framework for waste policy through 2028 with a perspective to 2035, aligning domestic planning with EU waste-management and circular-economy goals.
The National Waste Management Plan 2028 aims to increase recycling and reuse, reduce landfilling, and promote biowaste treatment, which together help lower greenhouse gas emissions from waste and support climate mitigation, while building modern waste infrastructure and fostering a circular economy in Poland.
