Nature Conservation and Landscape Management Act

This Act seeks to protect German nature and landscape on account of both their intrinsic value as well as a basis for human life and health, and to safeguard future generations.


These goals shall be realised in a manner that permanently safeguards biodiversity, the performance and functionality of the natural balance and the intrinsic value of nature and landscape. To this end, the Act outlines measures. Climate protection measures are also included.
