The Nuevo Compromiso por el Futuro de Colombia (CONPES 4023) focuses on economic reactivation, sustainable growth, and inclusive development post-COVID-19. It addresses four key areas:
- Households: Actions to reduce poverty, improve economic stability, and mitigate the loss of human capital.
- Productive Sector: Strengthening sustainable and sophisticated production to create jobs and enhance internationalization.
- Institutional Framework: Improving institutional capacities for effective reactivation.
- Digital Development: Accelerating and strengthening digital infrastructure and capabilities.
The plan spans six years (2021-2026), with an estimated investment of 3.87 trillion pesos, and aims for long-term sustainable growth while addressing the immediate economic challenges caused by the pandemic. It notably aims to foster the intake of renewable energies.
