In August 2022 the government of Nigeria launched a new Energy Transition Plan, which seeks to use a data driven approach to generate new funding and investment opportunities for the energy transition in Nigeria, in line with Nigeria's goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2060.
The plan sets out emissions reduction pathways and investment needs to achieve emissions reductions in energy, transport, oil and gas, cooking, and industry.
