Summary

These Regulations set out which companies will be subject to carbon fees. Companies that produce greenhouse gases of above 25,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent will be subject to carbon fees. There is also a coefficient applied to the calculation of carbon fees, with businesses at a higher risk of carbon leakage being subject to a higher coefficient and hence higher carbon fees.
