Summary

This Strategy sets out Singapore's plan for hydrogen deployment and infrastructure development in line with technological and global progress, with Singapore believing that low-carbon hydrogen has the potential to be a major decarbonisation pathway to support its transition towards net zero by 2050. The report sets out five key areas: 1) Experiment with the use of advanced hydrogen technologies at the cusp of commercial readiness through pathfinder projects; 2) Invest in research and development to unlock technological bottlenecks; 3) Pursue international collaborations to enable supply chains for low-carbon hydrogen; 4) Undertake long-term land and infrastructure planning; and 5) Support workforce training and development of our broader hydrogen economy.
