Through this statement to parliament, Sweden's new Prime Minister transposes the coalition's political agreement into government policy. Among other things, the document formally changes Sweden’s climate targets from achieving “100% renewable energy” to “100% fossil free energy” so that the government can pursue its nuclear ambitions. The commitment to retain the net zero target for 2045 remains.
