This action plan aims overall to improve efficiency of final energy consumption by 4.33% by 2026 compared to 2018, and equivalently 5.44% for electricity consumption. The plan aims for an 859.74 ktCO2 equivalent saving in greenhouse gas emissions by 2026, compared to a baseline scenario. Measures across sectors include the promotion of electric and public transport, repurposing of wastewater methane emissions for energy, generally strengthened reporting standards for energy consumption and efficiency, and a national campaign for energy efficiency.
