<p>Peru’s Ministerial Resolution No. 521-2023-MINEM/DM advances the country’s energy-efficiency agenda by approving four standardised technical specifications (“Fichas de Homologación”) for LED luminaires used in public street lighting. Anchored in the Ley de Promoción del Uso Eficiente de la Energía (Ley 27345) and in harmony with state-procurement rules, the measure obliges all public entities to purchase the most efficient lighting technology available, thereby embedding energy-saving criteria into the national procurement architecture overseen by PERÚ COMPRAS.</p>
