Energy Code - Measures specific to vehicles: Sub-section 2: Amounts and methods of aid payments

Following the 'Grenelle for the environment' process, a combined bonus and penalty system was announced to encourage the purchase of low-polluting vehicles.

The bonus system applies to new vehicles purchased from 5 December 2007 and is provided as a function of the CO2 emitted.
