<p>This Act seeks to ensure the conservation, and if needed, the growth of the forest as well as its proper long-term management, recognising its multifaceted importance, particularly for the climate. Further, the Act aims to promote forestry and to achieve a balance between interests of the public, and interests of forest owners.</p>
