The State Programme on the Use of Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources is a national programme that promotes power generation from renewable and environmentally sound sources. This programme promotes wind power as the more preferable energy source to solar, hydro, geothermal and biomass energy, but explores the production of these other forms of energy as well.
