This decree establishes the modalities of how Cameroon protects the atmosphere for a list of air pollutants including carbon dioxide, methane and CFCs. It establishes that the air quality measurement and control stations designed to ensure compliance with the requirements set out in Article 21 of Law No. 96/12 of 5 August 1996 on a framework law for the management of the environment are located in sites where pollution is presumed to exceed the limit values. It further lists all industrial activities susceptible of emitting one of the air pollutant.
