National Development Plan 2018-2027

The National Development Plan is a broad document setting the Government's policy vision over the period 2018-2027. It includes a chapter on the transition to a low carbon and climate resilient society. The Government pledges to invest 22 billion euros in order to reach an almost zero emissions economy by 2050. The funds are to be primarily deployed to reduce carbon emissions from transport, housing, agriculture and the energy sector, along with flood defenses.
