Summary

The Decree aims to promote the energy renovation of residential buildings. It includes a residential building renovation programme to improve energy efficiency. Measures eligible for subsidy include improving the thermal envelope of buildings to reduce energy demand for heating and cooling; installing heating, cooling, domestic hot water and ventilation systems; and common building facilities such as lifts and lighting. To qualify forsubsidies, the building's total annual energy demand in terms of heating and cooling must be reduced by at least 30% compared to the levels taken before implementation of the measures, as demonstrated by the energy certificate.
