This Initiative is by the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB), whose mandate under the CIB Act is to invest and attract investment to support conditions that foster economic growth or contribute to the sustainability of infrastructure in Canada.
This Initiative provides attractive financing to reduce investment barriers and decarbonise buildings. CIB's team of experts works with the public and private sector as well as other market participants to modernise and improve the energy efficiency of existing buildings. Retrofits on a building could include items such as improving or replacing lighting fixtures, windows and doors, and Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
