Council of Ministers n.º 147/2024 - Establishes the National Roadmap for the Decarbonization of Aviation

Embedded in environmental sustainability and the commitment to fight climate change, this resolution aims to decarbonize the air transport sector. This resolution establishes the National Roadmap for the Decarbonization of Aviation (RONDA) and the Alliance for Sustainability in Aviation (ASA).
The ASA coalition includes airlines, government bodies, and environmental NGOs, all working towards the common goal of reducing aviation greenhouse gas emissions. Recognizing the growth in air traffic over the coming decades, the ASA seeks to lead the transition to greener practices through collaboration and knowledge sharing, with the goal of developing technological solutions to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency.
