This decree-law approves the organisation and functioning regime of the XXIV Constitutional Government, adopting the appropriate structure to fulfil the priorities set out in its Programme.
Article 25 states that the Ministry of Environment and Energy is the government department responsible for formulating, leading, implementing, and evaluating policies related to the environment, water, waste, climate, coastal protection, nature conservation, biodiversity, energy, and geology. Its focus is on sustainable development, social and territorial cohesion, and land management within its areas of competence, including coastal areas and rural spaces.
