This decree creates the National Commission for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Conservation of Forest Carbon Stocks, Sustainable Forest Management and Increase of Forest Carbon Stocks - REDD +.It charges the Ministry of the Environment to publish the National Strategy to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Conservation of Forest Carbon Stocks, Sustainable Forest Management and Increase of Forest Carbon Stocks - ENREDD + and its successive reviews.
This Decree was revoked by the Federal Decree nº 11.548/2023.
