England Trees Action Plan 2021 to 2024

England will have at least 12% woodland cover by mid-century, contributing to net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
LULUCF, Target year: 2050We intend to spend over £500 million of the £640 million Nature for Climate Fund on trees and woodlands between 2020 and 2025. With this funding, we aim to at least treble woodland creation rates by the end of this Parliament, reflecting England’s contribution to meeting the UK’s overall target of planting 30,000 hectares per year by the end of this Parliament.
