Summary

This Act contains provisions on the establishment and organisation of the Environmental Management Authority; public participation; environmental management; compliance and enforcement; environmental trust fund and finances; and the Environmental Commission. It controls air pollutions including pollutants that have an impact on the climate. Environmental impact assessments for prescribed activities are to identify and assess the main effects that the activity is likely to have on the components of the environment, including the weather and climate.
