Summary

This programme aims to gather information on the emission of greenhouse gases by industrial facilities, on the basis of section 46 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. According to the Canadian government, this programme helps to 1) support accurate tracking of GHG emissions, 2) contribute to policies and strategies related to climate change, industrial activities and energy use, and 3) provide a consistent, more precise picture of the issue, and contributes to solutions.
