Summary

This document sets the actions and mechanisms that regulated parties from the hydrocarbons sector must adopt for the prevention and comprehensive control of methane emissions. It applies to all stages of the oil and gas supply chain, from exploration to refining and storage. Article 11 states that the regulated parties must prepare a diagnosis of the methane emissions that occur in the equipment, including its components, as well as in the operations in wells, of the Project Facilities where the activities object of these Provisions are carried out, which should cover the identification of methane emissions, their  classification and quantification.
