Summary

This law regulates the conditions and method of efficient use of energy and energy in the sector of production, transmission, distribution and energy consumption; policy of efficient use of energy; energy management system; labeling the energy efficiency of products that affect energy consumption; minimum requirements for energy efficiency in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity and heat and the supply of natural gas; financing, incentives and other measures in this area, as well as other issues of importance for the rights and obligations of natural and legal persons in relation to efficient use of energy. The basic principles on which energy efficiency is based in the country are energy security, competitiveness, sustainability, energy management and cost effectiveness. The document lists the legal framework around energy efficiency in Serbia, including the Action Plan for Energy Efficiency.
