Law on the Use of Renewable Energy Sources in the Production of Electricity, No. 339-VIQ

This Law determines the legal, economic and organisational foundations of the use of renewable energy sources in electricity production, and support mechanisms for promoting electricity production from renewable energy sources and regulates the relations arising in this area. The law includes provisions on the duties of the state in the field of using renewable energy sources in the production of electricity; state support for the use of renewable energy sources in electricity production; areas of renewable energy sources; designation of a land as an area of renewable energy sources; selection of a producer for the production of electricity in the area of renewable energy sources; active consumer support mechanism; support for scientific research; technical and organizational requirements and information in the field of using renewable energy sources in electricity production; certificate on the source of electricity produced from renewable energy sources; authorization for the production of electricity; and the rights and obligations in the field of using renewable energy sources in electricity production.
