The RUKN sets out the national electricity policy, development direction of electricity supply, the current condition of electricity supply, and the projection of electricity demand for the next 20 years. The national electricity policy consists of policy on electricity supply, engineering and environmental protection. Targets include a minimum of 23% renewable energy in 2025, utilisation of clean coal technology and utilisation of nuclear energy. Modelling was conducted to project the electricity demand for each of the 34 provinces in Indonesia.
