Summary

  • The Resolution on the National Forest Programme (RNFP) is Slovenia's core strategic document to define national forest policy based on sustainable, multi-purpose management. It aims to ensure forest conservation, biodiversity, and ecosystem stability while balancing ecological, social, and economic functions, and regulating the management of both public and private forests.

The Forest Act establishes the National Forest Programme as the document to set guidelines for the conservation and development of forests and conditions for their exploitation or multifunctional use. For the implementation of the national forest programme, the ministry responsible for forestry shall prepare ten-year operational programmes.
