This Ordinance from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA) establishes the initiative to support the development of Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Plans (AdaptaCidades), to support states and municipalities in the development of local or regional climate change adaptation strategies and plans, as part of the Resilient Green Cities Programme. The programme allows states and municipalities to join, by signing the Adhesion Agreement, to promote integration and coordination between municipal, state and federal governments to strengthen climate adaptation and resilience policies. It establishes that resources from the National Climate Change Fund may be used to implement the AdaptaCidades initiative.
