Establishes the National Strategy for the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Conservation of Forest Carbon Stocks, Sustainable Management of Forests and Increase of Forest Carbon Stocks (REDD+) in Brazil-ENREDD+.
The overall objective of the Strategy is to contribute to the mitigation of climate change through the elimination of illegal deforestation, conservation and restoration of forest ecosystems and the development of a sustainable low carbon forest economy, generating economic, social and environmental benefits.
