This Regulation of the European Parliament and Council amends a 2016 regulation creating uniform rules for benchmarks in the Union and caters for different types of benchmarks used by financial market actors. The Regulation introduces provisions around the creation of EU Climate Transition Benchmarks, EU Paris-aligned Benchmarks and sustainability-related disclosures for benchmarks and empowers the Commission to create minimum standards for these benchmarks and sets out requirements that the administrators of such benchmarks must adhere to.
