The Resilience Program for the Safeguarding of the Fatherland (Programme de Résilience pour la Sauvegarde de la Patrie - PRSP, 2024-2026) is Niger's core national strategy aimed at guiding the country out of its current crisis, with a global objective to impulse a new dynamic of endogenous development. The PRSP was formulated in a challenging context marked by several overlapping crises of Geopolitical Instability, Environmental degradation intensified by the effects of climate change (such as droughts and floods), Socio-Demographic Pressure, and Security and Migration.
The PRSP is intended to establish this new vision, redefine relations with international partners based on mutual interests, and leverage the growing influence of new actors and channels of communication to mobilise the population. The core strategy focuses on sovereignty and responsibility, mandating the effective participation of all citizens to achieve the plan's goals.
