These Technical Guidelines provide guidance for integrating Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) into the Philippines’ Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process. The Guidelines aim to ensure that project proponents, EIA practitioners, and stakeholders systematically consider disaster and climate risks at every stage of a project in the EIA process, from screening and scoping through to impact analysis, mitigation planning, and ongoing monitoring. The Guidelines update key EIA reporting tools to incorporate DRR and CCA considerations across a wide range of project types such as mining, agriculture, infrastructure, housing, and energy.
