Summary

This document aims at creating a sustainable, safe, secure and environmentally responsible transport network that supports Samoa’s economic and social development and contributes to improving the quality of life for all Samoans. Its five overarching goals are as following:

  • Improve, sustain and climate proof road transport network
  • Improve effectiveness, safety, security and competitiveness of maritime services
  • Upgrade the capacity, safety and security of air transport services 
  • Strengthen transport sector governance framework
  • Ensure environmentally sustainable, energy efficient and socially responsible transport sector
