General transportation strategy that also includes a component on GHG emissions reductions. The Russian Federation expects to reduce transport emissions by 1.2% relative to total emissions in 2017. This will be achieved by energy-efficient vehicles, electric vehicles, electrification and gasification of public transport, increasing car sharing, developing bike and other low-carbon infrastructure, as well as alternative fuels and technology improvements in the shipping and aviation industries.
