UAE Energy Efficiency Standardization and Labelling Scheme
Summary
The regulation introduces a mandatory efficiency labelling and star rating to domestic appliances. Air conditioners were the first to enter the labelling scheme; washing machines followed after legislation in April 2013. The legislation should soon include cooling and refrigeration products, lights, water heaters, motors and water pumps.
