The National Climate Change Plan (the Climate Plan) guides adaptation and mitigation efforts to reduce the adverse effects of climate change and the vulnerability of environmental, social, and economic systems.
The Resolution No. 03, dated September 14, 2023, provides for the update of the Climate Plan and defines it as an instrument of the National Policy on Climate Change (PNMC) to consolidate the strategies, plans, and targets of the Federal Executive Branch, contributing to the objectives of the Policy and to the achievement of the targets established in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement.

The plan also emphasizes the sustainable management of water resources, nature-based solutions, coordination across sectors and levels of government, and the protection of water availability and quality under future climate conditions.</p>
