It applies to  the waste prevention, recovery, disposal other activities of waste management.Section 2.(2)15 says that the following is in scope: carbon dioxide which, for the purpose of permanent storage, is captured and transported and stored in carbon dioxide storage installations, or is stored in research storage installations.</p>
