<p>Law 18.597/2009 mandates the creation of the Uruguayan Trust for Energy Savings and Efficiency (FUDAEE) . Decree 86/012 approves the creation. The trust will:</p>

<li>Fund technical assistance, research, and investment projects in energy efficiency.</li>
<li>Support energy diagnostics for public and private sectors.</li>
<li>Manage international funds for energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction.</li>
<li>Finance educational campaigns to raise awareness about energy efficiency.</li>
<li>The trust is a key tool for Uruguay's long-term energy policy and efficient resource use.</li>
