Summary
This decree adopts the Special Climate Change Program 2014-2018 into law.
The objective of the Special Climate Change Program 2014-2018 is to reduce the vulnerability of populations and productive sectors, preserve and protect ecosystems and environmental services and increase infrastructure resilience to the adverse impacts of climate change. The instruments included in the Special Climate Change Program 2014-2018 include the country's National Risk Atlas, the National Vulnerability Atlas, the National Emission Inventory, the National Emission Registry, the Official Mexican Standard, the Information System on Climate Change and other financial, market and economic instruments, such as the country's carbon tax, emissions trading system and climate change fund.
